About Stereoscout Records
Formed by producer Dave Armstrong in the Isle of Man* in 2002 (*the bit of rock floating in the Irish Sea, just off Liverpool), Stereoscout Records was originally created to provide a label home for the extremely talented singer-songwriter team 'Truman Falls'. The first release on the label was their debut album, 'Little Happyhells', which within weeks of release was selling out several times over in the Island's HMV store, and was being played on Bob Harris' legendary show on BBC Radio2. The band now have a fanbase stretching as far afield as New Zealand, the USA and various colder parts of Scandinavia.

Stereoscout now has a firmly established remit to represent talented, original and dedicated artists. This remit is confirmed by our work with one of the greatest female vocalists of our generation -
Christine Collister. The latest release from Stereoscout is a 20year retrospective DVD of her career so far, featuring interviews from her peers and colleagues (such as Richard Thompson, Bob Harris & Clive Gregson). The DVD was entirely produced on the Isle of Man, and the project was filmed, designed and edited by our own production company, DAM. We also produced and released Christine's highly successful limited release live album, 'Home' and are currently in the studio working on her next solo record..watch this space!

In 2004, we set up our sister label LOVERBOY RECORDS. The idea behind this label was to create a platform for emerging rock artists, both from the Isle of Man and further afield. Our first signing, alt-rockers JACOBA, (now reformed as 'UberRoom') proved themselves with excellent debut album "Easy Listening For Foreigners", which was quickly picked up by Radio 1 and featured on their OneMusic website for new artists. The boys also got through to the world final of the Global Battle of the Bands competition in November 2004, which saw them playing to a sellout crowd at the London Astoria - where they gained a huge number of avid new fans. The boys were a perfect vehicle to launch Loverboy Records, and our latest releases on the label are perfect to move us to the next level: teenage talents BACK DOOR SLAM. This 3 piece blues/rock outfit, fronted by extra-ordinary new talent Davy Knowles, is generating plenty of industry excitement on an international level - even though they have yet to release an album. You can buy their limited release EP from Loverboy's website, or witness the incredible live energy of the band on their DVD, 'Live At The Gaiety Theatre', which you can buy here. But be quick! Both are limited releases and are sure to sell out.

Always on the lookout for new talent, earlier this year Stereoscout produced an EP for singer/songwriter/pianist ANNA GOLDSMITH. Her biography is certainly impressive - check it out here - and her EP proved extremely popular at Anna's support slot for KATIE MEHLUA - not only did all the discs sell out, but a second batch delivered to the venue sold out again within seconds! Thankfully we kept our own supply for online sales, so if you missed her on the night, you can get yourself a copy now from our online shop. We are currently in the studio with Anna working on her debut album - you can hear a sneaky preview of some of the new songs at her website, AnnaGoldsmith.com

If you are interested in finding out more about what we do, who we are and where we're going, or if you think you've got the right stuff to be on our label, contact Dave directly: dave@stereoscout.com To buy any of our products, visit the online shop by clicking on any of the links on the right.

DEMOS: Please bear in mind that we are exceptionally busy and don't have the hours inthe day to be able to reply to all emails/demos, but we DO listen to them all and, if we think we can work with you, we WILL let you know! Check out the Contact Page for mailing address.
